Welcome to Moxxie Network
When I told people I was starting a women’s group I got the usual HUH? stares. I didn’t blame them. In fact, I would have given them the same stares had they said that to me. We all know how many networking groups are out there. There’s even a large number of groups just for women. Yet every month it seems another pops up. Why are there so many and why are so many leaving us unfulfilled? And what am I doing starting another? Well, I’m not. Moxxie is not a networking group. It is an entire community of business women helping other women in business.
My vision is to build an exclusive community of senior level business & professional women who are dedicated to promoting the business of women in business. Moxxie will provide its members with the unique opportunity to interact in an atypical setting for the purposes of increasing their market presence, expanding their business & social networks and educating them about areas of interest specific to women. Our goal is to provide you with a networking experience unlike any other - I call it NOTworking. We'll be exploring new and unusual venues and focusing on the plethora of interests that women have - both business and personal issues.
Our Jr Moxxie Program will allow female college students to obtain a Mentor from within the Moxxie Network. These young women will be able to attend various Moxxie events to learn social and business networking skills and to gain business contacts. Our partnership with Dress For Success will provide business attire and much needed counsel to women who are entering or re-entering the workforce under difficult circumstances.
Although Moxxie is a women’s organization, we are definitely not anti-men. It’s just that women interact and network differently than men – and we have different interests. However, we will be having some events that include men – we call them BYOM: Bring Your Own Man. The ladies will be asked to bring a male business associate to the meeting.
So who should join Moxxie? All those women who are looking for an exciting and fun way to get new business, establish lasting relationships with similar women and assist in developing the careers of other women.
