Moxxie member Stefanie Handsman named in LI Business News' Who's Who in Women in Profesional Services. As the Business Banking Market Manager for HSBC, Stefanie is responsible for managing a team of relationship managers and executing business banking strategy on Long Island.
Stefanie is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Choose You initiative, the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women, Junior Achievement and the Queens Botanical Garden. She was awarded Top 10 Women of Queens in 2005 and 2009. Stefanie also served as a Moxxie mentor in 2010.

INDUSTRY-EXCLUSIVE MOXXIE IN THE MORNING
Beginning January 2012, Moxxie will schedule breakfast meetings similar to our widely-popular Moxxie in the Morning (MITM) - but with a twist! These industry-specific meetings will allow ONE woman from each of the following areas: Law, Banking, Accounting, Non-Profit, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. As with MITM, these monthly breakfast meetings will alternate between Woodbury and Commack.
Nov 2011 - Moxxie Partners with John W Engeman Theater
Moxxie acquired a new Jr Moxxie Partner - the John W Engeman Theater at Northport. Oct 2011 - Karen Perry named one of LIBN's 50 Around 50
Moxxie member Karen Perry–Weinstat, President and Founder of Event Journal, Inc. has been selected as one of the 2011 Fifty or so Around 50. She has been selected for this honor in recognition of leadership in business, mentoring and support for the Island’s not for profit organizations and a commitment to the communities that ultimately support her business. Sept 2011- Ms Moxxie Group Mentoring Program Extended
The 6-month trial group mentoring program has been extended another 3 months. Our Ms Moxxie mentees, whom are young professional women in their 20's and early 30's, have requested additional sessions which will focus on Negotiating, Difficult Conversations and Leadership. All member mentors have agreed to stay on for the additional 3 months. Many thanks to our dedicated mentors: Liz Cappa, Vatt Ferdinandi, Laura Joseph, Lorraine Kropp and Mary Onorato.
Sept 2011 - Jr Moxxie Secures Internship with Nassau DA Kathleen Rice
Congratulations to our Jr Moxxie Britta Naro. Britta, a Criminal Justice major at CW post has secured an Internship with the Nassau County District Attorney's Office. Britta and her mentor, Esta Algava-Czik, a Commercial Real Estate Attorney for Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone LLP both met Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice at the Jr Moxxie Field Trip to Ms Rice's office in May. Esta inquired about an internship with Ms Rice and when the Nassau DA confirmed their practice of bringing on college interns, our own Jr Moxxie Britta was armed with her resume and handed it right to Ms Rice. We are all so proud of this mentor/mentee pair for siezing the moment of opportunity afforded them through our Jr Moxxie Program. Kudos ladies!
