Local experts discuss choosing or changing a career path
Professionals considering a career change, recent college graduates just entering the job market and current college students are invited to attend a lecture sponsored the Long Island Women's Institute at LIU Post (formerly the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University) where experts will discuss how to choose a career path -- from recognizing strengths and interests to learning how to cultivate new skills.
Panelists include:
Arlene Haims, a Certified Life Underwriter, a Chartered Financial Consultant as well as a Fellow of the Life Underwriters Training Council. An insurance professional for the past 27 years, she serves as the chief operating officer for Haims Insurance Group.Karen McKenna, a career counselor, trainer and writer with over 25 years’ experience acrossmultiple industries, and the founder of East-Setauket-based CareerVision.
Rona Wexler, a vocational evaluator and employability expert who provides witness services and litigation support to matrimonial and employment attorneys nationally, with focus in New York,
