About the speaker
Barbara Walters brings 20 years experience in the areas of corporate human resources including benefits, compliance, recruiting, training, and strategic planning.  She has been a Senior Recruiter for one of the largest international search franchises as well as a Vice-President of Human Resources. In an earlier role, she worked as a Director of Training and Organizational Development in both a union and non-union environment.  

Barbara received a Master's Degree with Distinction in Human Relations/Industrial Counseling from New York Institute of Technology, and, a Bachelor's in Training and Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York. 

 

As part of her community involvement, Barbara provides outplacement workshops through the Public Library System for unemployed job seekers who want a head hunters’ perspective into making career changes or finding new jobs.

 

 

Ms. Walters has served as President of ASTD, the American Society for Training and Development, and is a national member of SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management.
